This is part two of the attitudes to lead to success in the workplace. Last month I gave you the first five attitudes for success. This week I will give you the last five of Dr. Martin Seligman’s ways to have a successful attitude in the workplace.
1. Believe that it’s not who you know, but who knows you. Successful workers understand the importance of networking within and outside the office. You will need help to accomplish your career goals.
2. Constantly ask yourself, what else can I do? Look for ways to improve your professional skill sets….this makes you more marketable.
3. Believe failure will help you succeed. Failure is just feedback. Successful people learn from their mistakes and move on.
4. Remember that you are your biggest fan. Talk about your accomplishments and what you’ve done for the company. Don’t assume that people know.
5. Always have your opportunity monitor turned on. Keep your eyes open to new opportunities. You never know when an opportunity can change the course of your life.
