Chief Compliance Officer for Regional Healthcare Provider in South Texas

Expectations first 12 months:

  • Establishing strong working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Communicating a comprehensive and visible compliance message and building trust throughout the business
  • Identifying areas of compliance risk and implementing necessary improvements

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership team and present quarterly/annual compliance updates
  • Chairing the compliance committee
  • Culture of Compliance: Oversee a comprehensive strategy and operational approach to maintaining a culture of accountability and compliance alongside General Counsel
  • Risk Assessment: Execution of compliance risk assessment and subsequent implementation and improvement of compliance policies and procedures
  • Developing and implementing a code of conduct and policies, procedures and practices designed to ensure compliance with applicable obligations, including requirements imposed by Federal healthcare programs
  • Developing and participating in compliance training program
  • Ensuring the proper reporting of violations or potential violations to enforcement agencies as appropriate

Requirements:

  • Education: Undergraduate degree required
  • Certification: Relevant compliance certification required, such as CCEP or CHC
  • Experience in healthcare delivery compliance that demonstrates your development & implementation of an effective compliance program
  • Industry experience: Must have compliance experience developed by working for multi-site healthcare provider
  • Compliance functional experience must include: Implementation of compliance and ethics program based around all applicable regulations and requirements of Federal and State healthcare programs; well versed in all matters relating to healthcare billing practices (e.g. Medicare)
  • Soft skills: Must be business focused and dynamic with a strong partnering mentality, ability to simplify the complex, able to influence senior management to support and drive ethics and compliance program

Relocation Policy:

  • Client will support and fund candidates wishing to commute long distance on a weekly basis within the US

OR

  • Comprehensive relocation package provided by client
