Maria Leonor Rios Named Dielbold Inc.’s Regional Compliance Officer in Brazil

Conselium has completed a search on behalf of Diebold Incorporated.  Ms. Maria Leonor Rios began her role of Regional Compliance Officer, LatAm on Sept. 16 in their office in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Ms. Rios’s Responsibilities include:

  • Develop a comprehensive compliance program for Latin America
  • Your compliance program will be based on your initial risk assessment
  • Develop written compliance policies, processes and protocols to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to prevent, detect, and correct compliance failures
  • Conduct periodic reviews in Latin America to determine effectiveness of compliance procedures
  • Coordinate and conduct compliance trainings
  • Develop an investigation protocol and conduct investigations as needed
  • Monitoring legal and regulatory environment to ensure Latin America region has current and accurate compliance procedures 

Ms. Rios was previously Regional Compliance Officer, LatAm with Baxter International.

Cash is king at Diebold. The company is one of the leading global producers of automated teller machines (ATMs). In addition, it offers remote teller systems, cash dispensers, and check cashing machines. Originally a manufacturer of safes, the company is still active in its original market, offering products that include vaults and security systems for financial institutions. It also provides electronic voting machines in Brazil. The company’s related services range from traditional maintenance to remote monitoring, transaction processing, and currency management. Diebold, which has operations in about 90 countries, gets nearly half of sales outside North America.
