Testing, testing…what’s your Klout score?

By April 30, 2013 No Comments

As if applying for a job and meeting the criterion for said job isn’t enough, how about adding on some more.

Some companies are looking at your “Klout score” as part of the job criteria.

What is “klout”?

A person’s Klout score is the measure of one’s activity on social media outlets, i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.

Is this a fair gauge of a candidate’s credentials or potential job performance?

Many are skeptical about it and wonder whether an actual person or the candidate is actually doing the posting on these media outlets.

So would you disregard a candidate who has a low Klout score but great potential and qualifications?

Essentially, it is like an “SAT for grown-ups.” Scores matter…or do they?
