Director of Commercial Compliance –expectations first 12 months:

  • Establish self as a business leader
  • Identify key areas of compliance risk for commercial business
  • Lead and continue to develop your staff of 4 professionals

Director of Commercial Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategy for U.S. commercial functions inclusive of: Sales, Marketing, Product Client Groups
  • Implement standards through strategic planning, communication, training and monitoring of policies
  • Regularly meet with senior business leaders to provide advice for strategic business models, projects and initiatives inclusive of new product launch initiatives
  • Develop strategies to hold the business units accountable and take ownership of controls and systems
  • Develop strategy and lead support at key business meetings including: national leadership forums, national sales forums, and product launch meetings
  • Develop strategy and lead the continuous risk assessment and enhancement program
  • Review and approve of sponsored activities, annual brand plans and speaker bureaus/programs. Attend Material Approval Process meetings as appropriate
  • Identify needs relating to compliance training for client groups. Provide strategic input into the design, development, implementation and delivery of compliance training materials, communications, presentations, workshops and systems. Deliver presentations and workshops with the business
  • Support due diligence and integration of merged, acquired or collaboration partner entities
  • Research, benchmark, stay current of applicable legal and regulatory developments to determine emerging compliance trends
  • Manage at least four direct reports

Director of Commercial Compliance Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree…. advanced degree preferred
  • Compliance professional or Legal Counsel with expensive commercial compliance experience
  • Expertise in compliance with laws/regulations and industry codes relevant to the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry Experience in design, implementation, enhancement of commercial facing compliance programs
  • Supervisory experience or strong evidence of leading teams and holding them accountable

Relocation Policy:

  • Full relocation paid by company…. please note that working remotely is not an option
