Senior Director, Privacy – Global Healthcare Services, Central New Jersey

We are representing a Fortune 500 healthcare services firm in their search for a Senior Director of Privacy. The position can be based in several locations and a full relocation package is available.

Expectations first 12 months:

  • Establish yourself as a trusted business advisor to global executive team
  • Create privacy focused risk assessment, develop and implement a structured plan to improve efficiencies in existing program and adapt to current and forthcoming international and domestic regulatory changes (e.g. EU legislation)
  • Develop strong working relationship with external regulatory groups
  • Partner with IT executive team in ongoing data security initiatives

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and leading policy implementation to maintain compliance with all legal requirements, including HIPAA, HITECH, GDPR, etc.
  • Drive privacy processes and procedures and provide guidance on business opportunities relating to the use and disclosure of patient data
  • Collaborate with legal team in providing appropriate and timely responses to potential breaches of patient data
  • Lead compliance with worldwide information breach requirements, including data analysis and root cause identification and remediation
  • Manage relationship with regulatory agencies and manage regulatory audit
  • Conduct ongoing privacy risk assessment plan and new/corrective measures to ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations
  • Oversee investigation and response to patient and client questions and complaints
  • Managing direct reports within Privacy Compliance group

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in healthcare (or related) privacy compliance leadership, ideally within a global organization
  • Specific exposure to HIPAA and GDPR compliance initiatives and a demonstrable track record of successful process implementation is essential
  • Strong understanding of privacy best practices in healthcare or related field
  • You must demonstrate active participation in working groups, forums and conferences on privacy subjects
  • Bachelor’s degree is essential, you will ideally have a healthcare related Master’s degree or a JD
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Must be a business-growth focused, dynamic and confident leader, able to interact and present at all levels

Relocation Policy:

Full comprehensive relocation package available, including provision of accommodation for limited period. Multiple locations available.
