We are representing a global pharmaceutical company in their search for an Associate Director Business Ethics Monitoring in Cambridge, MA.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Global Vice President for Business Ethics, you will be responsible assisting in the development and maintenance of a third-party due diligence and monitoring program for North America
  • Develop and implement monitoring program, with trend reporting on identified risks
  • Lead US Business Ethics Monitoring program across all business units
  • Liaise with domestic and global team to align objectives and share best practices
  • Responsible for live and transactional monitoring across three business units
  • Report monitoring results to business unit heads and other functional senior leaders to inform them of the findings, and work to address and remediate such findings through corrective and preventative action plans
  • Advise and support business units and functional teams in the determination of remediation/CAPAs, their implementation and follow-up; Responsible for documenting and supporting the implementation of remediation/CAPAs to any monitoring findings
  • Lead US Third Party Due Diligence Program; Liaise with Global 3rd Party Compliance Program lead to align on program objectives and share best practices
  • Lead US compliance investigations with significant remediation efforts to resolution
  • Lead risk assessments, work with the Global Risk team and internal audit to review program compliance, and utilize analytics to monitor it, identify areas of risk and prioritize risk mitigation
  • Proficiency on federal, state and global legal/regulatory requirements and timely responds to field inquiries
  • Participate in the US Grants and Charitable Donations Committee as a voting member
  • Work closely with the Transparency team to advise on compliance implications under the Sunshine Act
  • Lead on implementation of compliance recommendations and documentation/records for commercial programs and initiatives
  • Prepare dispute resolution procedures and advise on process
  • Lead training initiatives, and develop the respective materials within areas of responsibility
  • Maintain a current working knowledge of various laws, regulations, and industry guidance that affect the corporate-wide compliance program, including federal and state government price reporting laws, fraud and abuse and anti-kickback statutes, OIG guidelines, industry codes in relevant markets including PhRMA, US state marketing compliance laws, FCPA, UK Bribery Act, and other anti-bribery laws

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree (JD or Masters) preferred
  • Compliance Experience: You must bring a minimum of seven years of compliance and ethics experience from a pharmaceutical or medical device background, including exposure to third party due diligence, audit and monitoring
