We are representing one of Japan’s most prestigious companies. They are the largest pharmaceutical in Asia and the 9th largest pharma in the world. They have revenues in excess of $26 BB USD with revenue growth of 13%… Japan being their largest market in Asia. The position will report to the VP Compliance International Markets.

Responsibilities of Associate Director Compliance Japan:
• Develop and continuously update SOPs based on corporate policies, industry standards, and applicable laws
• Provide advice to leadership regarding compliance risks and guidance to functions/departments and field-force regarding the compliance standards
• Provide compliance trainings to relevant functions and ensure completion of Global Compliance Training Program
• Perform risk-assessments and implement a Compliance monitoring plan…ensure remediation of action items
• Lead Country Compliance Committee and ensure regular meetings for Compliance risk assessment and mitigation
• Ensure implementation of 3rd Party Due Diligence
• Review activities with HCPs/HCOs/GOs
• Perform review/approval of promotional/non-promotional materials

Requirements of Associate Director Compliance Japan:
• Corporate level verbal and written communication skills in English and Japanese
• Demonstrated ability to build lasting relationships by demonstrating strong interpersonal and influencing skills throughout all levels of the organization
• Thorough understanding of the “7 elements of a compliance program” and Anti-Bribery Anti-Corruption laws
• Compliance experience preferred in the Pharma industry but will consider experience gained in Biotech, Med Device, Law Firm, and Management Consulting industries
