Chief Compliance Officer for International Medical Devices Company in Atlanta, Georgia

Chief Compliance Officer expectations first year:

  • Update policies/procedures
  • Roll out of training
  • Develop audit/monitoring plan for the year

Chief Compliance Officer responsibilities:

  • Develop/revise policies and procedures designed to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct
  • Periodically review/update the Code of Conduct for continued relevancy
  • Collaborate with other departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution
  • Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures
  • Monitor activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of compliance activities
  • Identify potential areas of compliance risk and implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues
  • Provide reporting to the Board of Directors
  • Maintain an effective compliance communication program for the organization, including promoting:
  • use of the compliance hotline; (b) heightened awareness of Code of Conduct, and (c) understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures

Chief Compliance Officer requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred i.e. Law Degree
  • Considerable experience working in an in-house Compliance role
  • Industry experience in either: medical device, biotechnology or pharmaceutical
  • Multi-geographic experience
  • Rich understanding of risks facing a global medical devices company like: Anti-Bribery Anti-Corruption, 3rd party distributors, Anti-Kickback, etc.
  • Executive reporting including to Board of Directors is preferred

Relocation Policy:

  • Full relocation paid by client
