We are representing a large international offshore drilling company in their search for a Compliance Auditor in the Houston, TX area.

Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, your role ensures that the company complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will be responsible for conducting audits, reviewing processes, and providing recommendations to mitigate risks and improve compliance.
• Conduct Compliance Audits: Plan, execute, and report on compliance audits to assess the company’s adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies
• Risk Assessment: Conduct annual risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and areas of concern, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks
• Documentation Review: Examine company policies, procedures, contracts, and other relevant documentation to ensure they align with regulatory requirements
• Data Analysis: Analyze data and financial records to detect irregularities or non-compliance issues, and recommend corrective actions
• Reporting: Prepare clear and concise audit reports that highlight findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to be taken
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to address compliance concerns and implement solutions
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with changes in regulations and industry best practices to ensure the company’s compliance program remains effective
• Develop and deliver anti-corruption training programs to employees and third parties; investigate and respond to allegations of corrupt practices
• Assist in the development and updating of compliance policies and procedures
• Ensure company policies align with applicable anti-corruption laws and regulations
• Monitor and enforce compliance with all relevant policies
• Provide guidance and leadership to all lines of the business related to suspected unethical, inappropriate or illegal conduct
• Assist in developing relevant metrics to measure program effectiveness and report progress

Requirements:
• Essential education: Bachelor’s Degree
• Preferred education: JD or other advanced degree
• You will have extensive proven experience leading regulatory compliance initiatives on an international scale, which must include exposure regulations governing anti-corruption and bribery (including FCPA), anti-money laundering, trade sanctions, data privacy, and other regulatory compliance frameworks in relation to third parties
