Conselium, an executive search firm, has completed a search for Legal Counsel on behalf of Sandoz Inc. Ms. Yvonne Schnettler joined Sandoz, Inc. in their office near Munich, Germany 3-1-2012.

Ms. Schnettler’s Responsibilities include:

  • Take the lead in drafting and negotiating agreements for in-licensing transactions on a worldwide basis.
  • Provide expert legal advice at all levels of product development including regulatory registration strategies, with a focus on the European regulatory framework.
  • Provide legal advice including drafting and negotiating of contracts related to clinical trials with human subjects as well as outsourcing such trials to service providers and public institutions.
  • Manage and support litigation.

Ms. Schnettler was recently Legal Counsel at AiCuris GmbH in Wuppertal, Germany.

Sandoz Inc. was born in the USA. The company, formerly Geneva Pharmaceuticals, was brought under the Sandoz name in 2003 by its ultimate parent, Swiss pharmaceutical giant Novartis AG, in a move to consolidate its generics businesses. The firm is one of the largest generic drug makers in the world, manufacturing more than 200 generic drugs in more than 500 doses. The company’s product portfolio includes drugs to fight infections, arthritis pain, cardiovascular and gastrointestinal disorders, and central nervous system disorders.
