Position is Hybrid- RELOCATION NOT REQUIRED:  Offices in Dallas, TX and Portland, OR

We are representing a 35-year-old International Medical Devices company that will double in size by 2030. Our client is owned by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Company (BHC) which is supporting our growth strategy. You will report to the CCO of one of BHC’s holding companies.

Responsibilities of the Head of Compliance NA:
• Coordinates the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the compliance program, including the implementation of compliance policies and procedures
• Develops the annual compliance work plan that reflects the institution’s highest risks that will be monitored by the compliance function as determined by the annual risk assessment
• Maintains channels for reporting problems and concerns without fear of retaliation
• Conducts employee healthcare-professional compliance training and education
• Conducts and/or oversees appropriate compliance investigations
• Responds appropriately to reports of compliance violations (e.g., notifying an external agency if necessary)
• Establishes audit and monitoring guidelines to ensure proper controls are in place

Requirements of the Head of Compliance NA:
• Minimum BA/BS degree
• Compliance experience in the medical device or biotech, pharmaceutical industries
• Compliance experience obtained by in-house and/or consulting firms
• Working knowledge of the regulatory rules and consequences of non-compliance, Anti-kickback, FCPA
• False Claims, etc.
• Proven ability to effectively lead teams and positively interact cross-functionally
• A history of creating strong relationships with partners and key customers to develop and execute compliance programs
