It’s hard to like a business if you don’t like its leadership. And a business that isn’t well liked is not a successful business. A successful business starts with good leadership. It means they need to transfer the excitement they feel to their employees, stakeholders and customers by being authentic and having integrity.

But some of the qualities good leaders need to possess aren’t quite as obvious. Good leaders need to be appreciative and grateful. They need to simplify their ideas so they are better understood. And above all, good leaders need to follow the golden rule – probably the most effective, but often overlooked, quality of a good leader.
