US Compliance Officer in Dallas for Global Financial Services Firm

Expectations first 12 months:

  • Work alongside Chief Compliance Officer in development of compliance and ethics policies and procedures and compliance training program
  • Develop strong working relationships and partnerships with key executive management team members as well as direct reports within the compliance team
  • Participate in various business focused projects and change management programs, working directly with executive management across various other business functions

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain compliance and ethics policies and procedures for the compliance program
  • Provide direction and development support to other members of the compliance team as well as the broader business
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local and federal rules and regulations
  • Manage and develop a team of compliance professionals
  • Creating strategy around change management and projects to best reflect current business risks
  • Further developing appropriate compliance training program for existing and new staff members
  • Developing and implementing compliance risk assessment program in conjunction with Chief Compliance Officer
  • Partnering with various other groups (IT, Legal, Risk, Operations, etc.) to maintain a clear compliance message and ensure appropriate support and guidance to those functions

 

Requirements:

  • Significant relevant experience within a financial services compliance program is essential
  • People management experience is essential
  • Exposure to direct liaison with regulators – CFPB, SEC, Fed, etc.
  • You must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment, making business-focused decisions when under pressure and liaising directly with executive business heads regularly
