Expectations first 12 months:
- Work alongside Chief Compliance Officer in development of compliance and ethics policies and procedures and compliance training program
- Develop strong working relationships and partnerships with key executive management team members as well as direct reports within the compliance team
- Participate in various business focused projects and change management programs, working directly with executive management across various other business functions
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain compliance and ethics policies and procedures for the compliance program
- Provide direction and development support to other members of the compliance team as well as the broader business
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local and federal rules and regulations
- Manage and develop a team of compliance professionals
- Creating strategy around change management and projects to best reflect current business risks
- Further developing appropriate compliance training program for existing and new staff members
- Developing and implementing compliance risk assessment program in conjunction with Chief Compliance Officer
- Partnering with various other groups (IT, Legal, Risk, Operations, etc.) to maintain a clear compliance message and ensure appropriate support and guidance to those functions
Requirements:
- Significant relevant experience within a financial services compliance program is essential
- People management experience is essential
- Exposure to direct liaison with regulators – CFPB, SEC, Fed, etc.
- You must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment, making business-focused decisions when under pressure and liaising directly with executive business heads regularly
