We are representing a leading healthcare company (hospice, home health and infusion therapy) in their search for a Vice President of Compliance.

Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, you will manage a team of two direct reports and eight indirect reports and be responsible for ensuring the whole function reflects the three company values of Compassion, Integrity, and Excellence
• Responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders
• Responsible for talent management, development, and recruitment for the compliance operations and compliance auditing functions, you will also lead HIPAA Privacy compliance, acting as the Company HIPAA Privacy Officer
• Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations; creates a compliance-conducive environment in which company policies and procedures are the operating norm
• Models leadership and compliance in all circumstances related to protecting patient, family, colleague, and
company confidential information
• Contributes as necessary to internal and external surveys, audits, and investigations, providing truthful and
• accurate information
• Functions as a subject matter expert to colleagues for compliance-related information
• Implement and facilitate Compliance Work Plan; monitor daily compliance activities, direct tactical matters
• Assist in quarterly reporting to the Management Compliance Committee
• Develop, review, update internal compliance policies, procedures, tools, and resources to ensure compliance with
applicable obligations, including requirements imposed by with Federal and State healthcare programs
• Facilitate participation in an effective compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees, annual and ongoing training for all employees
• Promote effective lines of communication, including the operation of a compliance hotline.
• Oversee processes to ensure no employee, medical staff member, or independent contractor appears on the List of Excluded Individuals/Entities, the General Services Administration (GSA) list of debarred contractors, or State excluded providers list
• Conduct periodic compliance risk assessments and corrective actions
• Responsible for all facets of investigation and investigation reporting on matters related to compliance
Qualifications:
• Essential Education: JD
• You will bring several years of senior level healthcare compliance experience and be able to demonstrate a hands-on approach to building and improving compliance, ethics and privacy programs in a complex environment
• You will bring several years of people management experience, demonstrating the ability to upskill and drive a collaborative and productive team culture
