We are representing a private for-profit healthcare system with over 4,500 employees in their search for a Chief Compliance Officer.

Expectations first 12 months:

  • Identify strategy around compliance systems and processes to develop best practices
  • Review and update compliance plan including action points, plan and timeline for implementation
  • Determine team structure plan for HQ and regional positions

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting on a regular basis to the CEO and Board of Directors, and Executive Management team: General Counsel, Chief Medical Officers, Chief Hospital Executives
  • Manage, monitor and oversee a comprehensive corporate compliance program in support of Federal guidance regarding the seven elements of effective compliance programs
  • Direct the activities of compliance and internal audit/special investigation unit staff
  • Provide education and training regarding the corporate compliance program and related federal and state laws and regulations
  • Design, administer, update, monitor and oversee a comprehensive HIPAA Privacy program, working directly with Technology team to ensure the development and implementation of the organization-wide information security management plan
  • Responsible for the selection, professional development and retention of system corporate compliance program and staff, Internal Audit staff and Special Investigation Unit staff
  • Maintain expert working knowledge of and disseminates relevant laws and regulations
  • Participates in the visioning and strategic identification of new enterprise risk advocacy, legal, risk management, audit and other related parties

Requirements:

  • Essential Education: Bachelor’s degree, Compliance certification desired (CHC)
  • Compliance Experience: You must bring significant acute healthcare compliance and leadership experience, including HIPAA, implementing and managing the seven elements, and managing compliance in a multi-entity system

Relocation Policy:

  • Comprehensive relocation package available for suitable candidates. Remote working arrangement is not available.
