Director of Compliance – North America, Global Pharmaceutical Company, Miami Area

We are representing a Global Pharma Company operating in 115 countries.   The position of Director of Compliance NA is newly created.  Previously the function was part of Legal but that is now being segregated for best practices.

Director of Compliance – North America Expectations First 12 months:

  • Conduct Risk Assessment to prioritize compliance plan
  • Enhance the design and implementation of the audit & monitoring program

Director of Compliance – North America Responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk assessments to identify and prioritize compliance risk
  • Identify and implement controls to mitigate those risks
  • Conduct employee training programs
  • Enhance auditing & monitoring programs; specifically, as it relates to FCPA, OIG, Anti-Trust
  • Oversee and/or conduct compliance-related investigations
  • Be an accessible resource to key business stakeholders i.e. act as an educator and counselor to the business
  • Chair the US Ethics and Compliance Committee

Director of Compliance – North America Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge base: Must have in depth knowledge of laws and regulations of the Pharma or Med Device space relating to FCPA, Anti-Bribery, Anti-Trust, State Reporting (Transparency), etc.  Must know the 7 elements of a compliance program
  • Industry Experience: Must have in-house pharma or med device industry experience
  • Communication: Must be energetic, confident, and able to communicate in a short and succinct manner

Relocation Policy:

  • Initially will work from home but when the COVID crisis is over will expect to work out of the Weston, Florida office. Relocation package will be provided by client.
