Director – Third Party Compliance, Manufacturing & Distribution, Madison, WI (REMOTE)

We are representing an international manufacturing and distribution company in their search for a Director of Third-Party Compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the General Counsel / Chief Compliance Officer, with a team of two direct reports
  • Position will be responsible for administering and oversight of the third-party compliance program that will carry out the monitoring and training activities applicable for distributors in all company locations
  • The position will be also responsible for leading the investigation process related to distributor compliance violations and the enforcement of any actions to be carried out as a result
  • Developing policies, procedures, and maintaining all documentation necessary to carry out the third-party compliance program. reporting to leadership regular basis
  • Leading the investigation of suspected distributor violations and carry out the enforcement actions; Including communicating with third parties to obtain facts and information during investigation
  • Coordinating with other departments to obtain information and consensus on the appropriate resolution to suspected violations
  • Developing training plans and material focused on mitigation of third-party risks; oversight and, on occasion, personal delivery of training to third parties
  • Participate in the enterprise risk management program by monitoring legal requirements related to the compliance program, owning third party controls and reporting on the risks and KPI related to the program
  • Supporting, training and aiding compliance team to achieve key metrics and goals of the program
  • Implementation of technology solutions that allow the tracking and reporting of third-party violations and appropriate resolution
  • Performing risk assessments and limited field audits to third parties
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and international legal requirements ensuring reports are adhering to legal regulations and protecting the company compliance by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree (JD , Masters, etc.) preferred
  • Essential Language: Business fluent Spanish
  • Compliance Experience: You must bring significant exposure to third party compliance and due diligence in an international business setting
