Senior Compliance Director Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the General Counsel with a dotted line to the CEO and Board, the Senior Compliance Director will be responsible for enterprise-wide compliance oversight in accordance with the Seven Elements of a Compliance Program
• Implement and administer policies, training, programs, and practices to ensure Compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission and other regulatory standards
• Establish effective working relationships and build credibility within the leadership team to support a culture of ethics and compliance
• Create, monitor, and publish presentations, metrics and reports; present to senior leaders and Board of Directors as required
• Create plan to identify and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse; incorporate into trainings and risk assessment plan and continuing compliance program improvements
• Risk Assessment and monitoring by identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and developing strategies to minimize
• Perform regular assessments and investigate potential violations to ensure corrective action is taken as warranted
• Oversight and continuing development of compliance reporting processes including compliance dashboards and other tools for surfacing potential compliance issues
• Maintain and enhance Code of Conduct and relevant policies and procedures necessary to support the Company’s operations
• Oversee and implement specific auditing and monitoring activities, including annual practice reviews and other compliance auditing and monitoring activities as necessary
• Serves as a contact for employees seeking guidance on compliance-related matters and fosters open communication between departments and diverse constituencies
• Establish and maintain a regular schedule of clinic visits (in person, remote or via use of compliance liaisons) to ensure necessary visibility of compliance
• Ensures project, departmental or organizational compliance related requirements and goals are met, while adhering to approved protocols and budgets
• Respond promptly to audit requests of third-party payors and external agencies

Requirements:
• Essential education: Bachelor’s Degree
• Significant experience as an operational and strategic compliance professional, ideally in a complex multi-location healthcare services organization
• Demonstrated expertise in improving and developing compliance programs while partnering with business leaders to ensure compliance and business operations align on growth plans
