Senior Manager of Health and Safety Compliance for Industry Leading Commercial Vehicle Company in San Antonio

Expectations first 12 months:

  • Learning the business, understanding risks and building knowledge to be used in execution of health and safety program
  • In conjunction with Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Risk, develop a quantifiable health and safety program
  • Develop training program including robust post-delivery review metrics
  • Hire and train an additional team member

Responsibilities:

  • Managing Occupational Health & Safety Compliance program for a national network of over 170 business units
  • Hiring and managing team members
  • Ongoing development and delivery of training program nationally
  • Performing location-based health and safety audits
  • Interfacing with regulatory agencies including OSHA
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation of key performance indicators that measure the lead and lag measures of the program
  • Establishing strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the corporate hierarchy
  • Working with Chief Compliance Officer on regulatory developments and subsequent impact to health and safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree essential, Masters or JD preferred, Health and Safety certification preferred
  • Must have health and safety or environmental compliance experience that was developed by working for a large multi-unit business
  • Must have significant exposure to understanding and implementing Government safety regulations (OSHA)
  • Functional experience must include: Directing a health and safety compliance program across multiple business units, hiring and managing staff, creating and leading training strategy, conducting physical inspections and audits, interacting with all levels of management

Relocation and travel Policy:

  • Relocation package provided by client if necessary
  • No option to work remotely
