Senior Director Compliance, Healthcare, Florida

We are representing a large established healthcare system in their search for a Senior Director Compliance in Gainesville Florida, with a full relocation package available.

Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer and managing a team of four, you will maintain and enhance the stability and reputation of organization by planning and implementing an effective compliance program that will prevent and detect potential criminal conduct and violations of law related to health care, and provide for prompt reporting of violations to appropriate public officials when discovered and prompt voluntary remedial efforts
• Manage the daily operations of compliance program; advise hospital leadership about compliance matters and
recommend controls designed to promote compliance
• Responsible for maintaining and revising the Code of Conduct, corporate compliance manual, policies and
procedures, and maintaining current knowledge of applicable law, regulation and government payor requirements; produce well written, technically correct opinions and documents
• Investigate compliance issues and communicates with and respond to government and payor inquiries by researching billing, coding, potential fraud and abuse, and other compliance issues
• Identify regulatory needs, interprets rules, evaluate legal and compliance implications on organization, and propose recommended course(s) of action within scope of experience and knowledge
• Oversee the administration and development of the organization’s Compliance Program; establish goals, work
plans, schedules, and methodology of the compliance program as well as the management of day-to-day operational matters
• Maintain a compliance reporting system that is accessible and confidential
• Coordinate compliance audits and communicates results to various departments by providing written reports to staff and assisting departments with plans to correct compliance issues
• Appropriate supervision of investigations and audits, ensuring departments are satisfied with response timeliness and quality of response
• Coordinate compliance training and education through in-services or providing education to the staff on billing, coding, and other regulatory compliance issues throughout the enterprise
• Maintain compliance training records, policy and plan revisions, and an archive of corporate compliance activity
• Ensure team is prepared to respond to compliance issues and demonstrates and applies compliance responsibilities; ensure training records are accurate, recoverable, and confidentiality maintained

Qualifications:
• Essential Education: Bachelor’s Degree and Advanced Degree, such as JD or MBA
• Desirable: Healthcare Compliance Certification, e.g. CHC
• You will bring several years of management level hospital compliance experience, essentially including CMS, billing and coding compliance experience
